Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
1 Thessalonians 2:11
just as you know how we were
exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children,
I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
2 Corinthians 6:1
working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

and those who are
in the flesh cannot please God.

So then do not be foolish, but
understand what the will of the Lord is.
so that you will
walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who
comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
And do not neglect doing good and
sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
1 John 3:22
whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
1 Thessalonians 4:10
you do practice it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, to excel still more,
“Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way,
he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
They will still yield fruit in old age;
They shall be
full of sap and very green,

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
And this I pray, that
your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,
press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
2 Thessalonians 1:3
We ought always
to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;

Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith

and you shall be careful to do all the statutes and the judgments which I am setting before you today.
In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.

exhortation does not come from error or impurity or by way of deceit;
