assisted by faith and a good conscience: for some having discarded the one, have entirely lost the other.

He that aspires to be a bishop, desires an office that is honourable.

what I tell you is certain, and deserves entire credit.

it is an undoubted truth, that if we die for him, we shall live with him:

This is a secure rule, and what I would have you constantly maintain, that they who have believed in God, should take care to be examples of virtue, for that is commendable and useful to mankind.

but to as many as received him, and believed on him, he granted the privilege of being the sons of God.

In the mean time, the apostles, and the brethren, who were in Judea, heard that the Gentiles had likewise receiv'd the word of God.
