¹⁸ Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews' speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to make them afraid and to trouble them, that they might take the city. ¹⁹ They spoke of the God of Jerusalem as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, the work of men’s hands. ²⁰ And for this cause Hezekiah, the king, and the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
