³ For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for the Baals, and made Asherahs, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. ⁴ And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah had said, In Jerusalem shall My name be forever. ⁵ And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

2 Chronicles 34:3-4

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek after the God of David his father. And in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherahs, and the carved images, and the molten images.

Jeremiah 7:30

For the sons of Judah have done evil in My sight, says Jehovah. They have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, in order to defile it.
