Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, do you, who are spiritual, restore him with all gentleness, taking heed lest you yourselves be overcome by temptation.

be mutually kind, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, when one has any cause of complaint against another: as the Lord forgave you, do you likewise forgive.

We direct you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from all those of your brethren, whose conduct is irregular, and not agreeable to the instructions they received from us.

Wherefore "strengthen your weak hands and your feeble knees.

Swallowed

we that are in this tabernacle do groan under the burden of it: not that we desire to be divested of it, but we desire to have our celestial body, that this mortal state may vanish into immortality.

but when this corruptible shall be invested with incorruptibility, and this mortal with immortality, then shall be fulfilled that passage of scripture, " death is swallowed up for ever."

Overmuch

for religious sorrow produces that salutary repentance, which we never regret: but worldly sorrow preys upon life.

but God had pity on him, and not on him only, but on me likewise, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

Now I would not have you, my brethren, be mistaken about the state of the dead, lest you should be as greatly afflicted as those, who have no hope.
