Elijah Taken Away From Elisha

² Elijah and Elisha were going from Gilgal, and Elijah said to Elisha, "Tarry here, I pray thee, for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee." And when they came to Bethel, ³ the children of the Prophets that were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Knowest thou not how that the LORD will take away thy master from thee this day?" And he said, "I know it too; hold your peace." ⁴ Then said Elijah to Elisha, "Tarry here a fellowship: for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho." And he said, "As surely as the LORD liveth, and as surely as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee." And so they went to Jericho.
