And I will bless her; moreover, I give to you from her a son. And I will bless her, and {she shall give rise to nations}. Kings of peoples shall come from her."

So Sarah laughed to herself saying, "After I am worn out and my husband is old, shall [this] pleasure be to me?"

She said to Elijah, "{What do you have against me}, O man of God, [that] you have come to me to make known my guilt and to cause my son to die?"

He said, "How have I sinned that you [are] giving your servant into the hand of Ahab to kill me?

The men of the city said to Elisha, "Please now, the location of the city [is] good, as my master can see, but the water [is] bad and the land unproductive."

Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go, you must wash seven times in the Jordan, then your flesh shall return to you, and you shall be clean."

I said in my haste, "{Everyone} [is] a liar."

But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will call his name John.

And Zechariah said to the angel, "By what will I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced {in years}!"

And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
