But Jesus said to them: They need not go away; do you give them food.

And his disciples said to him: Whence should we have in the desert as many loaves as would satisfy so great a multitude?

He answered and said to them: Do you give them food. And they said to him: Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give them food?

And his disciples answered him: Whence will any one be able to satisfy these men with bread, here in the wilderness?

But he said to them: Do you give them food. They replied: We have nothing but five loaves and two fishes, unless we go and buy food for all these people.

There is a lad here that has five barley loaves, and two little fishes; but what are these among so many?

And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up what remained of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.

And Jesus perceiving it, said to them: you of little faith! why are you reasoning among yourselves because you took no bread?
