Joram Reigns In Judah

¹⁷ He was thirty-two years old. He ruled in Jerusalem for eight years. ¹⁸ He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab became his wife; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord. ¹⁹ Jehovah was not willing to destroy Judah. He promised his servant David that his descendants would always continue to rule.

He was twenty-two years old. He ruled in Jerusalem for one year. His mother was Athaliah, the daughter of King Ahab and granddaughter of King Omri of Israel.

The people of Jerusalem made Jehoram's youngest son Ahaziah king in his place, because the raiders who came to the camp with the Arabs had killed all the older sons. So Jehoram's son Ahaziah became king of Judah.
