First of all you must understand this, that scoffers will come in the last days, with scoffing, following their own lusts

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospelnot with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders,

nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than the divine trainingwhich is by faith.

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself in godliness.

and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of men who reject the truth.

The power

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."

as you have given him authority over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to all those you have given him.

and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Coming

Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
