and for the same purpose also, giving all diligence add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,

And Jesus looking at him, loved him, and said to him, One thing you lack; go and sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have a treasure in heaven; and come and take up your cross and follow me.

And Jesus hearing it, said to him, One thing you yet want; sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have a treasure in heaven, and come, follow me.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails any thing nor uncircumcision, but faith which works by love.

What is the profit, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has not works? Can faith save him?

WHAT shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that the grace may abound?

that he might sanctify it, purifying it with the washing of water with the word,

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who with an eternal spirit offered himself without fault to God, purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

The archetype of which, baptism, also now saves us, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience in God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
