For it had been better for them, not to have known the way of righteousness, then after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment given unto them.

And so if a righteous turn from his righteousness and do wickedness, and shall do like unto all the abominations which a wicked doth, shall he live? No, none of those righteousness that he did shall be remembered. But in the wickedness which he wrought, and in the sin which he did, in them shall he die.

The servant that knew his master's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Wherefore the law is holy: and the commandment holy, just, and good.

For it is not possible that they which were once lighted, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were become partakers of the holy ghost,

The words of his mouth are unrighteous and full of deceit; he hath left off to behave himself wisely, and to do good.

As for such as turn back unto their own wickedness, the LORD shall lead them forth with the evil doers; but peace shall be upon Israel.

In the way of righteousness there is life; as for any other way, it is the path unto death.

Age is a crown of worship, if it be found in the way of righteousness.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they should not have had sin: but now have they nothing to cloak their sin withal.

Ye remember what commandments we gave you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore to him that knoweth how to do good, and doth it not: to him, it is sin.
