Then David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.

Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord

according to the directions of King David of Israel.

O clap your hands, all peoples;

Shout to God with the voice of joy.

They have seen Your procession, O God,
The procession of my God, my King,

into the sanctuary.

The sound

The Lord spoke further to Moses, saying,

Also seven priests shall carry seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark; then on the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.

Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
