And count him not as an enemy: but warn him as a brother.

We desire you brethren warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, forbear the weak, have continual patience toward all men.

Brethren, if any man be fallen by chance into any fault, ye which are spiritual, help to amend him, in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

"Moreover, if thy brother trespass against thee, Go and tell him his fault between him and thee alone. If he hear thee, thou hast won thy brother:

A man that is given to heresy, after the first and the second admonition; avoid,

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart but shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour: that thou bear not sin for his sake.

Let the righteous rather smite me friendly, and reprove me: so will I take it as though he had poured oil on my head; it shall not hurt my head. Yea, I will pray yet for their wickedness.

Give a discrete man but an occasion, and he will be the wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase.

The correction of the wise is, to an obedient ear, a golden chain and a Jewel of gold.

I write not these things to shame you: but as my beloved sons, I warn you.

to deliver him unto Satan, for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

It is sufficient unto the same man that he was rebuked of many.

And though I should boast myself somewhat more of our authority which the Lord hath given us to edify and not to destroy you, it should not be to my shame.

Therefore write I these things being absent, lest when I am present I should use sharpness according to the power which the Lord hath given me, to edify, and not to destroy.

Brethren if any of you err from the truth, and another convert him,

And have compassion on some, separating them:
