he lodges with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea-side.

so that Peter staid there a considerable time with one Simon a tanner.

if any man is inclin'd to do his will, he shall know whether the doctrine be from God, or whether I speak from my self.

but rise, and go into the city, and you shall be told what you must do.

he told us how he had seen an angel, who had presented himself to him, and had said, send to Joppa, to fetch Simon, surnam'd Peter:

But how, say you, shall they call on him on whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?

wherefore 'tis said, " when he ascended up on high, he made a number of captives, and gave gifts to men."
