1 About that time Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, in order to do them violence. 2 He had James the brother of John murdered with a sword, 3 and when he saw that this was agreeable to the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter too -- it was at the time of the feast of Unleavened Bread.
