Then he removed him and raised David up to be their king, bearing this testimony to him: 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my own heart, who will do all that I desire.'

Fell

Then falling on his knees, he cried out, "Lord, do not lay this sin up against them!" With these words he fell asleep.

After that he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, although some of them have fallen asleep.

We do not want you to be under any misapprehension, brothers, about those who are falling asleep. You must not grieve for them, as others do who have no hope.

And was

"Brothers, one may say to you confidently of the patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his grave is here among us to this very day.

And saw

Jesus said, "Move the stone away." The dead man's sister, Martha, said to him, "Master, by this time he is decaying, for he has been dead four days."

It is so with the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in decay, it is raised free from decay.
