So they left the prison and went to Lydia's house, where they saw the brothers and encouraged them; then they departed.

Thyatira

"Write your vision in a book, and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and Smyrna and Pergamum and Thyatira and Sardis and Philadelphia and Laodicea."

Then to the angel of the church at Thyatira write thus: ??These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes flash like fire and whose feet glow like bronze.

So he got up and went on his way. Now there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a high official of Candace the queen of the Ethiopians (he was her chief treasurer), who had come to Jerusalem for worship

a religious man, who reverenced God with all his household, who was liberal in his alms to the People, and who constantly prayed to God.

Then he removed to the house of a devout proselyte called Titus Justus, which adjoined the synagogue.

Now there were some Greeks among those who had come up to worship at the festival;

the strong hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number believed and turned to the Lord.

Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures.

No one is able to come to me unless he is drawn by the Father who sent me (and I will raise him up on the last day).

You see, it is not a question of human will or effort but of the divine mercy.

I did the planting, Apollos did the watering, but it was God who made the seed grow.

Besides, their minds were dulled, for to this very day, when the Old Testament is read aloud, the same veil hangs. Veiled from them the fact that the glory fades in Christ!

there the god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, to prevent them seeing the light thrown by the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God.

May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, grant you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation for the knowledge of himself,

for it is God who in his goodwill enables you to will this and to achieve it.

Make no mistake about this, my beloved brothers:

Then to the angel of the church at Philadelphia write thus: ??These are the words of the true Holy One, who holds the key of David, who opens and none shall shut, who shuts and none shall open.
