And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,
And they stirred up both the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and coming suddenly they seized him and led him to the Sanhedrim,
But the Jews excited the pious and honorable women, and the first men of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out from their limits.
But the unbelieving Jews excited the minds of the gentiles against the brothers, and made them ill-disposed.
But the unbelieving Jews taking certain base men of those about the markets, and exciting a mob, disturbed the city; and coming to the house of Jason sought to bring them out to the people;
And when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rose with one consent against Paul and brought him to the tribunal,
and they laid hands on them and put them in prison till the next day; for it was now evening.
and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in the public prison.
On this account the Jews seized me in the temple and endeavored to kill me.
But before all these things they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, committing you to synagogues and prisons, to be brought before kings and governors on my account;
