Acts 28:19

But because the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar: not that I have any accusation to bring against my own nation.

And Agrippa said to Festus: This man could have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Caesar

But when Paul made his appeal, that he should be kept for the judgment of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept, till I could send him to Caesar

But finding that he had done nothing worthy of death, and as he himself has appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

And Paul answered: I am standing at the judgment-seat of Caesar, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know.

Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place to the wrath of God; for it is written: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.

He did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth.
