And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
and to Apphia
our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
according to Paul’s custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
And he was reasoning
in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
And he entered
the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.
So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day
testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place;
And now I am
standing trial for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers;
Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?”
And there was a young man named
Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead.
Jesus *said to them,
“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.
