In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

"If you had known the free gift of God," Jesus answered, "and who it is that says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water."

"For as the Father has life in himself, so also has he granted to the Son to have life in himself.

"I am giving them eternal life, and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of my hand.

"I am the resurrection and the life," said Jesus. "He who believes in me, even if he has died, shall live.

Jesus answered him. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man ever comes to the Father but by me.

since thou hast given him authority over all mankind, to give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him.

Thus there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus;

Thus it is written. The first man, Adam, became a living being, the last Adam, a life-giving Spirit.

for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

For it befitted him, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

and by being thus made perfect, he became the source of enduring salvation to all who obey him,

And the testimony is this, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."

He also said: "It has now come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End. To him who thirsts I will freely give Of the spring of the Water of life.

And he showed me the river of the Water of Life, clear as crystal, Flowing out from the throne of God, and of the Lamb,

Whereof

from his baptism by John down to the day on which he was taken up from us, one should join us a witness to his resurrection."

This Jesus God has raised up, of this we are all witnesses.

"But him God raised up on the third day, and permitted him to be made manifest,

"But God raised him from the dead.
