A prince

but killed the prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

To give

it is to you that God first of all sent his son Jesus, having raised him up to bless you, provided you all renounce your iniquities.

Having heard this, they were appeas'd, and glorified God, saying, God has then granted salvation likewise to the gentiles, on the terms of their repentance.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preach'd in his name, among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

and then all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, "there shall come out of Sion the deliverer, and shall turn away Jacob from his impiety.

with great temper and meekness informing those, who differ in opinion; because he does not know, but God may change their minds, by convincing them of the truth.

Forgiveness

repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, who shall send Jesus Christ,

know then, my brethren, it is by him, that the remission of sins is offer'd to you:

however, to let you see that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, rise, said he, to the sick of the palsy,

tho' they see, they will not perceive, and tho' they hear they will not understand: as if they were afraid of parting with their vices, in order to be pardoned.

then said Jesus to them again, "peace be with you: as my father hath sent me, even so send I you."

to whom you forgive any thing, I also forgive: for if I have forgiven any thing, I forgave it, for your sakes (as Christ is
