Stephen's Martyrdom

⁵⁴ As they listened to this, the Council grew frantic with rage, and gnashed their teeth at Stephen. ⁵⁵ He, filled as he was with the Holy Spirit, fixed his eyes intently on the heavens, and saw the Glory of God and Jesus standing at God's right hand. ⁵⁶ "Look," he exclaimed, "I see Heaven open and the Son of Man standing at God's right hand!"
