The covenant

And God said to Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee, in their generations.

Moses therefore gave to you circumcision, (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers) and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man.

How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it is but a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no man disannulleth or addeth to it.

And so

And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male-child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, who is not of thy seed.

And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had spoken.
