One like

the son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all that make others offend, and those who do iniquity;

then shall that sign, the son of man in the clouds of heaven, appear: and all the tribes of the land shall mourn, and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

When the son of man shall come in his majesty, accompanied with all his holy angels, he shall sit upon the throne of his glory.

Jesus reply'd, I am: moreover I declare to you, within a while ye shall see the son of man sitting on the right hand of God, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

then shall they see the son of man coming in the clouds with power and great glory.

but Jesus remain'd silent, and gave no answer. then the high priest asked him again, and said to him, art thou the Christ, the son of the most High?

and then shall they see the son of man come on a cloud, with power and great glory.

for no man hath penetrated into the secrets of heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man, who is in heaven.

and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the son of man.

Upon which the people said to him, we have learnt from the law, that the Messiah is to live for ever: why do you say then, the son of man must be lift up? who is this son of man?

and he said, there I see the heavens open, and the son of man standing on the right hand of God.

who tho' he was the image of God, did not affect to appear with divine majesty, but divested himself thereof,

Since then the children were made subject to a state of mortality, so he himself likewise was subject to the same condition: that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

See! he is coming on the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even they who pierced him: then all the tribes of the earth will smite their breasts at the sight: even so it will be.

again I looked, and I saw a white cloud, and there was sitting upon the cloud one like the son of man, having a crown of gold upon his head,

which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at the head of his heavenly kingdom,

who alone is essentially immortal, dwelling in that inaccessible light, which no mortal ever saw, or can see: to whom belongs everlasting honour and empire. amen.

for Christ is not entred into a sanctuary made by human art, such as is only representative of the true one, but into heaven itself, to appear from henceforth in the presence of God on our behalf:
