Daniel 8:23-25

“In the latter period of their ^(a)rule,
When the transgressors have ^(b)run their course,
A king will arise,
^(c)Insolent and skilled in ^(d)intrigue.

“His power will be mighty, but not by his own power,
And he will ^(e)^(A)destroy to an extraordinary degree
And prosper and perform his will;
He will ^(f)destroy mighty men and ^(g)the holy people.

“And through his shrewdness
He will cause deceit to succeed by his ^(h)influence;
And he will magnify himself in his heart,
And he will ⁽ⁱ⁾destroy many while they are ^(j)at ease.
He will even ^(k)^(B)oppose the Prince of princes,
But he will be broken ^(C)without ^(l)human agency.
