A prophet

he met Nathanael and told him, "We have found him whom Moses wrote about in the Law, and also the prophets ??it is Jesus, the son of Joseph, who comes from Nazaret."

for Moses said, The Lord our God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brotherhood, as he raised me: you must listen to whatever he may tell you.

(This was the Moses who told the sons of Israel, 'God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brotherhood, as he raised me.')

We must therefore pay closer attention to what we have heard, in case we drift away.

Unto him

He who listens to you listens to me, he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."

Jesus replied to them, "This is the work of God, to believe in him whom God has sent."

but in these days at the end he has spoken to us by a Son ??a Son whom he appointed heir of the universe, as it was by him that he created the world.

Now this is what he commands, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as he has commanded us to do;
