So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan displeased his father Isaac;

That his name

Let Me alone, that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.’

The Lord shall never be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the Lord and His jealousy will

burn against that man, and every curse which is written in this book will rest on him, and the Lord will blot out his name from under heaven.

Moreover, I have acquired Ruth the Moabitess, the widow of Mahlon, to be my wife in order to raise up the name of the deceased on his inheritance, so that the name of the deceased will not be cut off from his brothers or from the court of his birth place; you are witnesses today.”

You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked;
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

Let his posterity be cut off;
In a following generation let their name be blotted out.
