Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
In the place
Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.
Also you shall observe
the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.
For I will
drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders, and no man shall covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the Lord your God.
They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
In the place
But you shall seek the Lord at the place which the Lord your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and there you shall come.
Then afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in
the book of the law.
2 Kings 23:2
The king went up to the house of the Lord and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests and the prophets and all the people, both small and great; and
he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the Lord.
And all the people gathered as one man at the square which was in front of
the Water Gate, and they asked Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel.
they stood in their place, they read from the book of the law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.
And He came to
Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.
the reading of the Law and the Prophets the synagogue officials sent to them, saying, “Brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say it.”
Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
