To fear

As long as you live, you, your son, and your grandson must respect Jehovah your God. All of you must obey his laws and commandments I give you. Then you will live a long time.

For our good

Obey Jehovah's commandments and his statutes I am commanding you today for your good!

If you are righteous, what do you give to him? What does he receive from your hand?

When you are wise you are wise for yourself. When you scoff you bear it alone.

Tell the righteous that blessings will come to them. They will taste the fruit of their labor.

I will give them the same attitude and the same purpose so that they will respect and reverence me as long as they live. This will be for their good and for the good of their children.

Seek (desire) (require) (serve) first the kingdom of God and his righteousness [continuously] and all these things will be added to you.

You are now ashamed of the fruit you had at that time. For the results of these things is death.

Israel, listen to these laws and teachings! If you obey them you will live! Go in and take the land that Jehovah the God of your fathers is giving you.

Be careful to do all the commandments I commanded you today! You will then live and multiply and go in and possess the land Jehovah promised to give to your forefathers.

Jehovah will guard him and keep him alive. He will be blessed in the land. Do not place him at the mercy of his enemies.

He has kept us alive and has not allowed us to fall.

Respect for Jehovah and humility bring riches and honor and life.

Moses writes down the righteousness that is of the law. The man who has practiced those things shall live by them.
