And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided.
Then behold, seven ears, thin and scorched by the east wind, sprouted up after them.
He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens
And by His
power He directed the south wind.
And by His
For He spoke and raised up a stormy wind,
lifted up the waves of the sea.
Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
Lord hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship was about to break up.
When the sun came up God appointed a scorching
east wind, and the sun beat down on Jonah’s head so that he became faint and begged with all his soul to die, saying, “ Death is better to me than life.”
The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
