Making The Ark

1 Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

1 (A)Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half (a)cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits;

1 Bezalel(A) made the ark of acacia wood, 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.(a)

1 Bezalel made the ark [of the covenant] of acacia wood—it was two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

2 He overlaid it with pure gold, inside and outside, and made a gold molding around it.

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

2 and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around.

3 He cast four rings for it on its four feet, two rings on one side of it and two rings on its other side.

3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

6 Bezalel made the mercy seat of pure gold; it was two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide.

7 He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work at the two ends of the Mercy Seat.

7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

7 He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work (g)at the two ends of the mercy seat;

8 One cherub was at one end and one cherub at the other end. He made the cherubim at the two ends of the Mercy Seat and of one piece with it.

8 One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

9 The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the Mercy Seat with their wings and facing each other. The faces of the cherubim were turned toward the Mercy Seat.

9 And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

9 The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the (k)mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

9 They had wings spread out. They faced each other and covered the mercy seat with their wings. The faces of the cherubim were looking toward the mercy seat.

9 The cherubim spread out their wings upward, covering and protecting the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were [looking downward] toward the mercy seat.(A)

Making The Table

10 Then he made a table of acacia wood two cubits long, one cubit wide, and one and a half cubits high.

10 And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:

10 (B)Then he made the table of acacia wood, two (l)cubits (m)long and a cubit (n)wide and one and a half cubits (o)high.

10 He(B) constructed the table of acacia wood, 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.(c)

10 Bezalel made the table [for the bread] of acacia wood; it was two cubits long, a cubit wide, and one and a half cubits high.

11 He overlaid it with pure gold and put a gold molding around it.

11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.

11 He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding for it all around.

11 He overlaid it with pure gold and made a gold molding all around it.

11 He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a border of gold for it all around [its top].

12 He made a rim one handbreadth wide around it, and made a gold molding around the rim.

12 Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.

12 He made a rim for it of a handbreadth all around, and made a gold molding for its rim all around.

12 He made a three-inch(d) frame all around it and made a gold molding all around its frame.

12 He made a rim for it [just under the top] a hand width wide all around, and a border of gold around its rim.

13 He cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners where its four feet were.

13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.

13 He cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners that were on its four feet.

13 He cast four gold rings for it and attached the rings to the four corners at its four legs.

13 He cast four rings of gold for it and fastened the rings to the four corners that were at its four legs.

14 The rings were close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table.

14 Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.

14 Close by the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles to carry the table.

14 The rings were next to the frame as holders for the poles to carry the table.

14 Close by the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles [to pass through] to carry the table.

15 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold to carry the table.

15 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.

15 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.

15 He made the poles for carrying the table from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

15 Bezalel made the carrying poles of acacia wood to carry the table and overlaid them with gold.

16 He made the utensils which were on the table, its plates, dishes, bowls, and jars out of which libations are poured. He made them of pure gold.

16 And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.

16 He made the utensils which were on the table, its (p)dishes and its pans and its (q)bowls and its jars, with which to pour out drink offerings, of pure gold.

16 He also made the utensils that would be on the table out of pure gold: its plates and cups, as well as its bowls and pitchers for pouring drink offerings.

16 He made the utensils which were to be on the table, its dishes and its pans [for bread], its bowls and its jars for pouring drink offerings, of pure gold.

Making The Lampstand

17 He made the lamp stand of pure gold. He made the lamp stand, its base, and stem of hammered work and its cups, calyxes, and flowers were of one piece with it.

17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:

17 (C)Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its (r)bulbs and its flowers were of one piece with it.

17 Then(C) he made the lampstand out of pure hammered gold. He made it all of one piece: its base and shaft, its ornamental cups, and its calyxes(e) and petals.

17 Then he made the lampstand (menorah) of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its [center] shaft; its cups, its (a)calyxes, and its flowers were all of one piece with it.

18 Six branches extended from its sides, three branches of the lamp stand from one side of it, and three branches of the lamp stand from its other side.

18 And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

18 There were six branches going out of its sides; three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the (s)other side of it;

18 Six branches extended from its sides, three branches of the lampstand from one side and three branches of the lampstand from the other side.

18 There were six branches coming out of the sides of the lampstand, three branches from one side of the center shaft and three branches from the other side of it;

19 Three cups shaped like almond blossoms with calyxes and flowers were on one branch and three cups shaped like almond blossoms with calyxes and flowers were on the other branch, and so on for the six branches extending from the lamp stand.

19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.

19 three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a (t)bulb and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a (u)bulb and a flower in the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand.

19 There were three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a calyx and petals, on the first branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a calyx and petals, on the next branch. It was this way for the six branches that extended from the lampstand.

19 three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a calyx and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a calyx and a flower in the opposite branch—so for the six branches coming out of the center shaft of the lampstand.

20 On the lamp stand itself there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms each with their calyxes and flowers.

20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:

20 In the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its (v)bulbs and its flowers;

20 On the lampstand shaft there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms with its calyxes and petals.

20 On the center shaft of the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, with calyxes and flowers [one at the top];

21 A calyx was under the two branches that extended out of the stem; a calyx was under the next pair of branches that extended out of the stem; and a calyx was under the last pair of branches that extended out of the stem, and so on for the six branches extending from the lamp stand.

21 And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

21 and a (w)bulb was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a (x)bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a (y)bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.

21 For the six branches that extended from it, a calyx was under the first pair of branches from it, a calyx under the second pair of branches from it, and a calyx under the third pair of branches from it.

21 and a calyx was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a calyx under the second pair of branches, coming out of it, and a calyx under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.

22 Their calyxes and their branches were of one piece with it, all of it was of one piece of hammered work of pure gold.

22 Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

22 Their (z)bulbs and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single hammered work of pure gold.

22 Their calyxes and branches were of one piece.(f) All of it was a single hammered piece of pure gold.

22 Their calyxes and their branches were of one piece with it; all of it was a single hammered work of pure gold.

23 He made its seven lamps, its tongs, and its trays from pure gold.

23 And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.

23 He made its seven lamps with its snuffers and its (aa)trays of pure gold.

23 He also made its seven lamps, snuffers, and firepans of pure gold.

23 He made its seven lamps with its snuffers and its trays of pure gold.

24 He made it and all of its furnishings from a talent of pure gold.

24 Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.

24 He made it and all its utensils from a talent of pure gold.

24 He made it and all its utensils of 75 pounds(g) of pure gold.

Making The Altar Of Incense

25 He made the altar for burning incense of acacia wood, a square, one cubit long, one cubit wide, and two cubits high, with its horns of one piece with it.

25 And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.

25 (D)Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit (ab)long and a cubit (ac)wide, square, and two cubits (ad)high; its horns were of one piece with it.

25 He(D) made the altar of incense out of acacia wood. It was square, 18 inches long and 18 inches wide; it was 36 inches high.(h) Its horns were of one piece.(i)

25 Then Bezalel made the incense altar of acacia wood; its top was a cubit square and it was two cubits high; the horns were of one piece with it.

26 He overlaid it with pure gold its top, its sides all around, and its horns and he made a gold molding around it.

26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

26 He overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its (ae)sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around.

26 He overlaid it, its top, all around its sides, and its horns with pure gold. Then he made a gold molding all around it.

26 He overlaid it with pure gold, its top, its sides all around and its horns; he also made a rim of gold around it.

27 He made two gold rings for it under its molding, on its two opposite sides, as holders for poles by which to carry it.

27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

27 He made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides—on opposite sides—as holders for poles with which to carry it.

27 He made two gold rings for it under the molding on two of its sides; he put these on opposite sides of it to be holders for the poles to carry it with.

27 He made two rings of gold for it under its rim, on its two opposite sides, as holders for the poles [to pass through] to carry it.

28 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

28 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

Making The Anointing Oil And The Incense

29 And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure aromatic incense, the work of a perfumer.

29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

29 (E)And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.

29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant, and expertly blended incense.(E)
