Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may perform these signs of Mine among them,

They made their hearts like

flint so that they could not hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets; therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.

He refuseth

So I said to you, ‘Let My son go that he may serve Me’; but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.”’”

But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite your whole territory with frogs.

For if you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them,

For if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory.

“But if you refuse and rebel,
You will be devoured by the sword.”
Truly, the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

“Why then has this people, Jerusalem,

Turned away in continual apostasy?

They hold fast to deceit,
They refuse to return.

“Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit;
Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” declares the Lord.

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.
