Plague Five: Livestock Death

11 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and speak to him, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, "Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

11 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

11 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh and say to him: This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.

11 Then the LORD told Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, "This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me.

11 Then the Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh and tell him, Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

22 "For if you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them,

22 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

22 But if you refuse to let [them] go and keep holding them,

22 But if you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them,

22 If you refuse to let them go and still hold them,

33 behold, the hand of the LORD will come with a very severe pestilence on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks.

33 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

33 then the Lord's hand will bring a severe plague against your livestock in the field-the horses, donkeys, camels, herds, and flocks.

33 then the hand of the LORD will comewith a very severe plague on your livestock in the fields, on horses, on donkeys, on camels, on cattle, and on sheep.

33 Behold, the hand of the Lord [will fall] upon your livestock which are out in the field, upon the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the herds and the flocks; there shall be a very severe plague.

44 "But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing will die of all that belongs to the sons of Israel."'"

44 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

44 But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing of all that the Israelites own will die."

44 The LORD will distinguish between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of the Egyptians, so that nothing that belongs to the Israelis will die."'"

44 But the Lord shall make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the Israelites.

55 The LORD set a definite time, saying, "Tomorrow the LORD will do this thing in the land."

55 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

55 And the Lord set a time, saying, "Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land."

55 The LORD set the time: "Tomorrow the LORD will do this thing in the land."

55 And the Lord set a time, saying, Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land.

66 So the LORD did this thing on the next day, and all the livestock of Egypt died; but of the livestock of the sons of Israel, not one died.

66 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

66 The Lord did this the next day. All the Egyptian livestock died, but none among the Israelite livestock died.

66 The LORD did this thing the next day, and all the livestock of the Egyptians died. But not one of the livestock died that belonged to the Israelis.

66 And the Lord did that the next day, and all [kinds of] the livestock of Egypt died; but of the livestock of the Israelites not one died.

77 Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not even one of the livestock of Israel dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

77 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

77 Pharaoh sent [messengers] who saw that not a single one of the Israelite livestock was dead. But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

77 Then Pharaoh inquired and discovered that not a single one of the livestock of Israel had died, but Pharaoh's heart was stubborn and he would not let the people go.

77 Pharaoh sent to find out, and behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened [his mind was set] and he did not let the people go.

Plague Six: Painful Sores

88 Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a kiln, and let Moses throw it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.

88 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

88 Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of furnace soot, and Moses is to throw it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

88 Then the LORD told Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of soot from a kiln, and let Moses throw it into the air in front of Pharaoh.

88 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Take handfuls of ashes or soot from the brickkiln and let Moses sprinkle them toward the heavens in the sight of Pharaoh.

99 "It will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and will become boils breaking out with sores on man and beast through all the land of Egypt."

99 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

99 It will become fine dust over the entire land of Egypt. It will become festering boils on people and animals throughout the land of Egypt."

99 The soot will become dust over the entire land of Egypt, and it will become boils erupting into sores on people and animals throughout the land of Egypt."

99 And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast in all the land [occupied by the Egyptians].

1010 So they took soot from a kiln, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils breaking out with sores on man and beast.

1010 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

1010 So they took furnace soot and stood before Pharaoh. Moses threw it toward heaven, and it became festering boils on man and beast.

1010 So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh. Then Moses threw it into the air,and it became boils producing running sores on people and animals.

1010 So they took ashes or soot of the kiln and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw them toward the sky, and it became boils erupting in sores on man and beast.

1111 The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians as well as on all the Egyptians.

1111 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

1111 The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians as well as on all the Egyptians.

1111 The magicians were not able to stand before Moses because of the boils, because the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.

1111 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of their boils; for the boils were on the magicians and all the Egyptians.

1212 And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not listen to them, just as the LORD had spoken to Moses.

1212 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

1212 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had told Moses.

1212 The LORD made Pharaoh's heart stubborn so that he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had told Moses.

1212 But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, making it strong and obstinate, and he did not listen to them or heed them, just as the Lord had told Moses.

Plague Seven: Hail

1313 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, "Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

1313 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

1313 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning and present yourself to Pharaoh. Tell him: This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews says: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.

1313 Then the LORD told Moses, "Get up early in the morning, present yourself to Pharaoh, and say to him, "This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me.

1313 Then the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

1414 "For this time I will send all My plagues on you and your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.

1414 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

1414 Otherwise, I am going to send all My plagues against you, your officials, and your people. Then you will know there is no one like Me in all the earth.

1414 Indeed, this time I'm sending all my plagues against you, your officials, and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

1414 For this time I will send all My plagues upon your heart and upon your servants and your people, that you may recognize and know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

1515 "For if by now I had put forth My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, you would then have been cut off from the earth.

1515 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

1515 By now I could have stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with a plague, and you would have been obliterated from the earth.

1515 Indeed, by now I could have sent forth my hand and struck you and your people with a plague, and you would have been destroyed from the earth.

1515 For by now I could have put forth My hand and have struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.

1616 "But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.

1616 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

1616 However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you My power and to make My name known in all the earth.

1616 However, I've kept you standing in order to show you my power and to declare my name in all the earth.

1616 But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

1717 "Still you exalt yourself against My people by not letting them go.

1717 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

1717 You are still acting arrogantly against My people by not letting them go.

1717 You are still acting arrogantly against my people by not letting them go.

1717 Since you are still exalting yourself [in haughty defiance] against My people by not letting them go,

1818 "Behold, about this time tomorrow, I will send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

1818 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

1818 Tomorrow at this time I will rain down the worst hail that has ever occurred in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

1818 Look! About this time tomorrow, I'll send a severe hail storm, such as has not happened in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

1818 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very heavy and dreadful fall of hail, such as has not been in Egypt from its founding until now.

1919 "Now therefore send, bring your livestock and whatever you have in the field to safety Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die."'"

1919 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

1919 Therefore give orders to bring your livestock and all that you have in the field into shelters. Every person and animal that is in the field and not brought inside will die when the hail falls on them."

1919 So send for your livestock and everything that belongs to you that's out in the field, because every person and animal found in the field that has not been brought inside to shelters will die when the hail comes down on them."'"

1919 Send therefore now and gather your cattle in hastily, and all that you have in the field; for every man and beast that is in the field and is not brought home shall be struck by the hail and shall die.

2020 The one among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the LORD made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses;

2020 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

2020 Those among Pharaoh's officials who feared the word of the Lord made their servants and livestock flee to shelters,

2020 Whoever feared the message from the LORD among Pharaoh's officials made his servants and livestock flee into shelters.

2020 Then he who feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses and shelters.

2121 but he who paid no regard to the word of the LORD left his servants and his livestock in the field.

2121 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

2121 but those who didn't take the Lord's word seriously left their servants and livestock in the field.

2121 But whoever did not pay attention to the message from the LORD left his servants and his livestock outside in the fields.

2121 And he who ignored the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.

2222 Now the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that hail may fall on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt."

2222 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

2222 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven and let there be hail throughout the land of Egypt-on man and beast and every plant of the field in the land of Egypt."

2222 Then the LORD told Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, and there will be hail in all the land of Egypt, on people, animals, and all the vegetation of the field throughout the land of Egypt."

2222 The Lord said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man and beast, and upon all the vegetation of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

2323 Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt.

2323 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

2323 So Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail. Lightning struck the earth, and the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt.

2323 When Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt.

2323 Then Moses stretched forth his rod toward the heavens, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire (lightning) ran down to and along the ground, and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

2424 So there was hail, and fire flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very severe, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

2424 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

2424 The hail, with lightning flashing through it, was so severe that nothing like it had occurred in the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.

2424 There was very heavy hail, and lightning was flashing continuously in the midst of the hail. There had not been anything like it in the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.

2424 So there was hail and fire flashing continually in the midst of the weighty hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

2525 The hail struck all that was in the field through all the land of Egypt, both man and beast; the hail also struck every plant of the field and shattered every tree of the field.

2525 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

2525 Throughout the land of Egypt, the hail struck down everything in the field, both man and beast. The hail beat down every plant of the field and shattered every tree in the field.

2525 The hail struck everything, including people and animals, outside in the fields throughout the land of Egypt. The hail struck all the vegetation of the fields and shattered all the trees in the orchards.

2525 The hail struck down throughout all the land of Egypt everything that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail beat down all the vegetation of the field and shattered every tree of the field.

2626 Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, there was no hail.

2626 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

2626 The only place it didn't hail was in the land of Goshen where the Israelites were.

2626 Only in the land of Goshen, where the Israelis were, was there no hail.

2626 Only in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites were, was there no hail.

2727 Then Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "I have sinned this time; the LORD is the righteous one, and I and my people are the wicked ones.

2727 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

2727 Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron. "I have sinned this time," he said to them. "The Lord is the Righteous One, and I and my people are the guilty ones.

2727 Pharaoh sent word and called for Moses and Aaron. "I've sinned this time," he told them. "The LORD is righteous, but I and my people are wicked.

2727 And Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time; the Lord is in the right and I and my people are in the wrong.

2828 "Make supplication to the LORD, for there has been enough of God's thunder and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer."

2828 Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

2828 Make an appeal to the Lord. There has been enough of God's thunder and hail. I will let you go; you don't need to stay any longer."

2828 Pray to the LORD! There has been enough of God's thunder and hail! I'll let you go, and you need not stay any longer."

2828 Entreat the Lord, for there has been enough of these mighty thunderings and hail [these voices of God]; I will let you go; you shall stay here no longer.

2929 Moses said to him, "As soon as I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD; the thunder will cease and there will be hail no longer, that you may know that the earth is the LORD'S.

2929 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.

2929 Moses said to him, "When I have left the city, I will extend my hands to the Lord. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know the earth is the Lord's.

2929 Moses told him, "When I leave the city I'll spread out my hands to the LORD. The thunder will cease and the hail won't continue, so that you may know that the earth belongs to the LORD.

2929 Moses said to him, As soon as I leave the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord; the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail, that you may know that the earth is the Lord's.

3030 "But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the LORD God."

3030 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

3030 But as for you and your officials, I know that you still do not fear the Lord God."

3030 But as for you and your officials, I know that you don't yet fear the LORD God."

3030 But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet [reverently] fear the Lord God.

3131 (Now the flax and the barley were ruined, for the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bud.

3131 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

3131 The flax and the barley were destroyed because the barley was ripe and the flax was budding,

3131 (Now the flax and the barley were ruined because the barley was in ear and the flax was in bud.

3131 The flax and the barley were smitten and ruined, for the barley was in the ear and the flax in bloom.

3232 But the wheat and the spelt were not ruined, for they ripen late.)

3232 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

3232 but the wheat and the spelt were not destroyed since they are later crops.

3232 The wheat and the wild grainwere not ruined because they were late crops.)

3232 But the wheat and spelt [another wheat] were not smitten, for they ripen late and were not grown up yet.

3333 So Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to the LORD; and the thunder and the hail ceased, and rain no longer poured on the earth.

3333 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

3333 Moses went out from Pharaoh and the city, and extended his hands to the Lord. Then the thunder and hail ceased, and rain no longer poured down on the land.

3333 Then Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured out on the land.

3333 So Moses left the city and Pharaoh, and stretched forth his hands to the Lord; and the thunder and hail ceased, and rain was no longer poured upon the earth.

3434 But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunder had ceased, he sinned again and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

3434 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

3434 When Pharaoh saw that the rain, hail, and thunder had ceased, he sinned again and hardened his heart, he and his officials.

3434 When Pharaoh saw that the rain, hail, and thunder had stopped, he continued to sin. He, along with his officials, hardened his heart.

3434 But when Pharaoh saw that the rain, the hail, and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet more, and toughened and stiffened his hard heart, he and his servants.

3535 Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go, just as the LORD had spoken through Moses.

3535 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

3535 So Pharaoh's heart hardened, and he did not let the Israelites go, as the Lord had said through Moses.

3535 Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he did not let the Israelis go, just as the LORD had said through Moses.

3535 So Pharaoh's heart was strong and obstinate; he would not let the Israelites go, just as the Lord had said by Moses.
