Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
But they fell on their faces and said, “O God,
God of the spirits of all flesh, when one man sins, will You be angry with the entire congregation?”
May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
burden of the word of the Lord concerning Israel.Thus declares the Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him,
Furthermore, we had
earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?
The soul that
The person who
sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.
For the wages of
sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For as many as are of the works of
the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “ Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.”
