“Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them

Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth

and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon and the kings of the coastlands which are beyond the sea;

“Son of man, set your face toward the sons of Ammon and prophesy against them,

“The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers;
Your wise men, O Tyre, were aboard; they were your pilots.

Be silent, you inhabitants of the coastland,
You merchants of Sidon;
Your messengers crossed the sea

He has said, “You shall exult no more, O crushed virgin daughter of Sidon.
Arise, pass over to Cyprus; even there you will find no rest.”

and send word to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the sons of Ammon, to the king of Tyre and to the king of Sidon by the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.

On account of the day that is coming
To destroy all the Philistines,
To cut off from Tyre and Sidon
Every ally that is left;
For the Lord is going to destroy the Philistines,
The remnant of the coastland of Caphtor.

“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

“There also are the chiefs of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who in spite of the terror resulting from their might, in shame went down with the slain. So they lay down uncircumcised with those slain by the sword and bore their disgrace with those who go down to the pit.

Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head.

And Hamath also, which borders on it;
Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
