Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.
Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the
river Chebar among the exiles, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.
And i fell
As the appearance of the
rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.
So he came near to where I was standing, and when he came I was frightened and
fell on my face; but he said to me, “Son of man, understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.”
So I was
left alone and saw this great vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a deathly pallor, and I retained no strength.
When I saw Him, I
fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “ Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,
twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
When He had taken the
book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
And behold, the
glory of the God of Israel was there, like the appearance which I saw in the plain.
glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub on which it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case.
When the disciples heard this, they fell
face down to the ground and were terrified.
