A Lament Over The Nation And Land Of Egypt

¹⁰ This is what the Lord Jehovah says: I will use King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to bring an end to Egypt. ¹¹ “He and his people with him,
The most ruthless of the nations,
Will be brought in to destroy the land;
And they will draw their swords against Egypt
And fill the land with the slain.
¹² I will dry up the Nile River and sell the land to wicked people. I will have foreigners destroy the land and everything in it. I, Jehovah, have spoken.'

Ezekiel 31:12

Alien tyrants of the nations have cut it down and left it. On the mountains and in all the valleys its branches have fallen and its boughs have been broken in all the ravines of the land. All the peoples of the earth have gone down from its shade and left it.

I will cut down your people with the swords of warriors. All of them will be the most ruthless warriors among the nations. They will shatter the pride of Egypt and destroy its many people.

I will fill its mountains with those who have been killed. Those killed by the sword will fall on your hills and in your valleys and ravines.

Gog and his army and his allies will fall dead on the mountains of Israel. I will let their bodies be food for all the birds and wild animals.'
