Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.
And the border
You shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it.
You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its
sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it.
1 Kings 18:32
So with the stones he built an altar in
the name of the Lord, and he made a trench around the altar, large enough to hold two measures of seed.
And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, so that
your nakedness will not be exposed on it.’
Then He brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house. And behold, at the entrance to the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their
backs to the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east; and they were prostrating themselves eastward toward the sun.
Then he went to the gate which faced
east, went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.

The doorway for the
lowest side chamber was on the right side of the house; and they would go up by winding stairs to the middle story, and from the middle to the third.
Now on the Levites’ platform stood Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Chenani, and they cried with a loud voice to the Lord their God.
