This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
So then, does He who
provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
Peter said to them, “
Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
who came down and prayed for them
that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
While Peter was still speaking these words,
the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.
And as I began to speak,
the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.
who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
He said to them, “
Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:7
But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit
for the common good.

one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.

enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
1 Peter 1:12
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who
preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look.
