So everything they tell you, do and practice, but stop doing what they do, for they preach but do not practice.

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on law, and boast about God,

What is our conclusion then? Is it that we Jews are better than they? Not at all! For we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under the sway of sin,

promising them freedom, though they are slaves of destruction themselves; for a man is the slave of anything that conquers him.

So let no one boast in men. For everything belongs to you --

Your ground for boasting about such a case is not good. Are you not aware that a little yeast will change the whole lump of dough?

Since many boast in accordance with their human nature, I will do it too.
