It is in my power to do you harm, but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘

Be careful not to speak either good or bad to Jacob.’

Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also

kept you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.

Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

For the Lord

loves justice

And does not forsake His godly ones;
They are preserved forever,
But the

descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

He permitted no man to oppress them,
And He reproved kings for their sakes:

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper;
And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.
