Genesis 47:13
The famine was so severe that there was no food anywhere. The people of Egypt and Canaan became weak with hunger.
Acts 7:11
A famine and great suffering came over all the land of Egypt and Canaan. Our fathers found no food.

Lamentations 4:9
Those killed by the sword are better off than those who died of starvation. For these die slowly and waste away from lack of food from the field.
