Jesus Our Great High Priest

¹³ Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. All things are uncovered and laid bare before him. We must account to him. (Romans 2:16; 14:12) ¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. ¹⁵ We do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our infirmities (weaknesses). He was tested in all things like ourselves. Yet he was without sin!

Hebrews 6:20

That is where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 1:2-3

He has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom he made the ages (Greek: aion: ages of time, perpetuity, worlds, generations, human entities).

Hebrews 8:1

Here is a summary of the things we are discussing: We have this kind of high priest. He sat down at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in heaven.

Hebrews 9:24

Christ has not entered into the Holy Place made with human hands. This is a copy of the true one. He has entered into heaven to appear before the presence of God for us.

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

Hebrews 1:8

Hebrews 2:1

Pay close attention to the things heard so we do not drift away.

Hebrews 2:17-1

This means that he had to become like his brothers in every way, in order to be their faithful and merciful High Priest in his service to God, in order to offer a propitiatory sacrifice (pay atonement) (to make reconciliation) for the sins of the people.

Indeed Moses was faithful in His house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken afterwards.

Hebrews 3:14

For we have become companions (partners) with Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of our firm trust to the end.

Hebrews 7:25-26

He is able to save completely those who approach God through him, because he is always alive to intercede for them.

Hebrews 9:12

He went once and forever into the Most Holy Place having eternal salvation. It is not with the blood of goats and young bulls, but with his blood.
