The indignation

For thus the Lord, the God of Israel, says to me, “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from My hand and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.

Proclaim this among the nations:

Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men!

Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up!

“Therefore wait for Me,” declares the Lord,
“For the day when I rise up as a witness.
Indeed, My decision is to gather nations,
To assemble kingdoms,
To pour out on them My indignation,
All My burning anger;
For all the earth will be devoured
By the fire of My zeal.

Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;

And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “

Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”

From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will

rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

Behold, the name of the Lord comes from a remote place;

Burning is His anger and dense is His smoke;

His lips are filled with indignation
And His tongue is like a consuming fire;

A jealous and avenging God is the Lord;
The Lord is avenging and wrathful.
The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries,
And He reserves wrath for His enemies.
