The living

While I live will I praise the LORD; yea, as long as I have any being, I will sing praises unto my God.
Whatsoever thou takest in hand to do, that do with all thy power: for among the dead, where thou goest unto, there is neither work, counsel, knowledge nor wisdom.

The father

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, "When your children ask you in time to come saying, 'What mean these stones?'
which we have heard and known, and such as our fathers have told us,
One generation shall praise thy works unto another, and declare thy power.
Tell your children of it, and let them show it to their children, and so they - to certify their posterity thereof.
