Summary

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

And by the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown thine adversaries: Thou sentest forth thy burning wrath, it consumed them as stubble.

Like the noise of chariots, on the tops of the mountains, they leap; like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Though they be tangled together as thorns, and be as drenched from their drink, they shall be devoured as dry stubble, completely.

He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.

Any one that has disregarded Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses:

He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.

Behold, ye despisers, and wonder and perish; for I work a work in your days, a work which ye will in no wise believe if one declare it to you.

He therefore that in this disregards his brother, disregards, not man, but God, who has given also his Holy Spirit to you.
