2 Shake yourself from the dust and arise, and sit on your throne, O Jerusalem! Loosen the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

3 For the Lord says this, “You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed, but not with money.”

3 For thus says the Lord, “You were (H)sold for nothing and you will be (I)redeemed (J)without money.”

3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

3 For this is what the Lord says:“You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without silver.”(D)

3 For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and you'll be redeemed without money."

4 For the Lord God says this, “My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there; and [many years later Sennacherib] the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

4 For thus says the Lord (a)God, “My people (K)went down at the first into Egypt to reside there; then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

4 For this is what the Lord God says:“At first My people went down to Egypt to live there,(E)then Assyria oppressed them without cause.(b)

4 For this is what the LORD says: "My people went down long ago into Egypt to live there; the Assyrian, too, has oppressed them without cause.

5 But now, what do I have here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that My people have been taken away without reason? Those who rule over them howl [with taunting and mockery of salvation],” declares the Lord, “and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.(B)

5 Now therefore, what do I have here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?” Again the Lord declares, “Those who rule over them howl, and My (L)name is continually blasphemed all day long.

5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.

5 So now what have I here”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“that My people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.(F)

5 "Now therefore, what am I doing here," asks the LORD, "seeing that my people are taken away without cause? Those who rule over them are deluded," says the LORD, "and continuously, all the day long, my name is blasphemed.

6 Therefore My people shall know My Name and what it means. Therefore in that day I am the One who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’”(C)

6 Therefore My people shall (M)know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’”

6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

6 Therefore My people will know My name;(G)therefore they will know on that daythat I am He who says:Here I am.”

6 Therefore my people will know my name; in that day they'll know that it is I who speaks, "Here I am!'

7 How beautiful and delightful on the mountainsAre the feet of him who brings good news,Who announces peace,Who brings good news of good [things],Who announces salvation,Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”(D)

7 How lovely on the mountainsAre the feet of him who brings (N)good news,Who announces (b)peaceAnd brings good news of (c)happiness,Who announces salvation,And says to Zion, “Your (O)God (d)reigns!”

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

7 How beautiful on the mountainsare the feet of the herald, who proclaims peace, who brings news of good things,(H)who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”(I)

7 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the one who brings news of peace, who announces good things, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!'

11 "Depart! Depart! Go out from there; touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.

12 For you will not go out in a hurry [as when you left Egypt],Nor will you go in flight [fleeing, as you did from the Egyptians];For the Lord will go before you,And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

12 But you will not go out in (Y)haste,Nor will you go (g)as fugitives; For the (Z)Lord will go before you,And (AA)the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.

The Servant's Suffering And Exaltation

13 Indeed, My Servant (the Messiah) will act wisely and prosper; He will be raised and lifted up and greatly exalted.

13 Behold, My (AB)servant will prosper,He will be high and lifted up and (h)greatly (AC)exalted.

13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

13 See, My Servant(c)(T) will act wisely;(d)He will be raised and lifted up and greatly exalted.(U)

13 "Look! My servant will prosper, and he will be exalted and lifted up, and will be very high.

14 Just as many were astonished and appalled at you, My people,So His appearance was marred more than any manAnd His form [marred] more than the sons of men.

14 Just as many were astonished at you, My people,So His (AD)appearance was marred more than any manAnd His form more than the sons of men.

14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

14 Just as many were appalled at You(e)His appearance was so disfiguredthat He did not look like a man,and His form did not resemble a human being—

14 Just as many were astonished at you so was he marred in his appearance, more than any human, and his form beyond that of human semblance

15 So He will sprinkle many nations [with His blood, providing salvation],Kings will shut their mouths because of Him;For what they had not been told they will see,And what they had not heard they will understand.(G)

15 Thus He will (AE)sprinkle many nations,Kings will (AF)shut their mouths on account of Him;For (AG)what had not been told them they will see,And what they had not heard they will understand.

15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

15 so He will sprinkle(f)(g) many nations.(h)(V)Kings will shut their mouths because of Him,For they will see what had not been told them, and they will understand what they had not heard.(W) >

15 so will he startle many nations. Kings will shut their mouths at him; for what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will understand.
