1 Come to the waters, all ye that be thirsty, and ye that have no money. Come buy, that ye may have to eat. Come buy wine and milk, without any money, or money worth.
1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
1 "Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters! Also, you that have no money, come, buy, and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye lay out your money, for the thing that feedeth not, and spend your labour about the thing that satisfieth you not? But hearken rather unto me, and ye shall eat of the best, and your soul shall have her pleasure in plenteousness.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
2 Why spend your money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in rich food.
3 Incline your ears, and come unto me, take heed, and your soul shall live. For I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
3 Pay attention to me, come to me; and listen, so that you may live; then I'll make an everlasting covenant with you, as promised by my faithful, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I shall give him for a witness among the folk, for a Prince and Captain unto the people.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
4 "Look! I have made him a witness to the nations, a leader and commander of the nations.
5 Lo, thou shalt call an unknown people: and a people that had no knowledge of thee, shall run unto thee, because of the LORD thy God, the holy one of Israel which glorifieth thee.
5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
5 "Look! You will call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that does not know you will run to you, because of the LORD your God, even the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you."
6 Seek the LORD, while he may be found, and call upon him while he is nigh.
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
6 "Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.
7 Let the ungodly man forsake his ways and the unrighteous his imaginations, and turn again unto the LORD: so shall he be merciful unto him; and to our God, for he is ready to forgive.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous person his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, So he'll have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he'll pardon abundantly.
8 For thus sayeth the LORD: My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways.”This is the Lord’s declaration.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
9 But as far as the heavens are higher than the earth, so far do my ways exceed yours, and my thoughts yours.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
9 "For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 And like as the rain and snow cometh down from heaven, and returneth not thither again, but watereth the earth, maketh it fruitful and green, that it may give corn and bread unto the sower:
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
10 "For just as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, yielding seed for the sower and bread for eating,
11 So the word also that cometh out of my mouth shall not turn again void unto me, but shall accomplish my will and prosper in the thing, whereto I sent it.
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
11 so will my message be that goes out of my mouth it won't return to me empty. Instead, it will accomplish what I desire, and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 And so shall ye go forth with joy, and be lead with peace. The mountains and hills shall sing with you for joy, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
12 “For you will go out with (AF)joyAnd be led forth with (AG)peace; The (AH)mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,And all the (AI)trees of the field will clap their hands.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
12 "For you will go out in joy, and come back with peace; the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees in the fields will clap their hands.
13 For thorns, there shall grow Fir trees, and the Myrtle tree in the stead of briers. And this shall be done to the praise of the LORD, and for an everlasting token, that shall not be taken away.
13 “Instead of the (AJ)thorn bush the (AK)cypress will come up,And instead of the (AL)nettle the myrtle will come up,And (e)it will be a (f)(AM)memorial to the Lord,For an everlasting (AN)sign which (AO)will not be cut off.”
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
13 Instead of thornbushes, pine trees will grow, and instead of briers, myrtles will grow; and they will be a sign for the LORD, and an everlasting name that will not be cut off."
